Poetry From the Field: Stillness as Power

There is a kind of power that doesn’t announce itself. It doesn’t flash or roar or rush in to be understood.

It waits.
It watches.
It knows.

Stillness used to feel like silence, like stagnation.

Now I feel it like a SPELL:

The unsaid truth humming in the air, rearranging reality around me.
The ache before a kiss that never lands,
The pause between lightning and thunder.

This is not the stillness of collapse. Not the stillness of fear.

This is the coiled pulse of a woman who remembers she is God.
Not a god.
The God.
The one who needs no movement to ripple mountains.
The one who seduces with presence alone.

They don’t teach you this power.

They teach you to chase.
To prove.
To fill the space.
To get ahead by moving moving moving.

But the ones who shape the world? They don’t move until it’s time. They let their signal work for them.

They let their presence speak louder than performance ever could.

Stillness is what happens when power stops leaking into fear.
When desire stops running ahead of readiness.
When you realize you can be
motionless,
and magnetic as fuck.

There is passion in stillness. Stillness is not withholding.

It’s mastery.

It’s knowing that what doesn’t happen yet
is just as powerful as what does.

And in the stillness—I feel it—
Divinity.

The way stars hold their place in the sky.
The way the void holds everything.
The way my body becomes a temple
when I stop trying to perform and just sit in my own signal.

I am the mountain.
I am the altar.
I am the ache.

There is nothing more powerful than the one who doesn’t move. Nothing more sacred than the one who doesn’t flinch. Nothing more erotic than the one who waits—because they can.

Try it.

Next time your ego says “respond now”—wait.

Next time your lover reaches—don’t meet them. Just breathe.

Next time the world pulls—don’t be so quick to prove.

Let your energy speak first.
Let your silence stretch.
Let stillness become your invocation.

Because when you stop moving,
The cosmos kneels,
And everything else starts orbiting you.

In sovereignty,
Sharon
